16,000 signatures collected for the Stop Climate Chaos petition at Oxegen!

Despite the rain, mud and somewhat 'chaotic' weather conditions, Stop Climate Chaos campaigners made their presence felt at Oxegen and collected an incredible 16,000 signatures for the Stop Climate Chaos petition over the two days. So hats off to the fantastic team of dedicated campaigners for all their hard work, energy and enthusiasm. In addition to collecting the signatures, the Stop Climate Chaos crew spoke to music fans about the impacts of climate change on developing countries and the need for Ireland to play its part in reducing global greenhouse gas emissions.
It wasn't all work and no play though - we all had a lot of fun applying 10,000 Stop Climate Chaos tattoos to festival goers on various parts of the anatomy! See a selection of tattoo photos here.
All in all, it was a great, (if somewhat exhausting!) weekend and everyone involved is to be thanked and commended for their great work. And of course a big 'thank you' to the thousands of festival goers for their interest in and support for the Stop Climate Chaos campaign. We will keep you posted on upcoming actions and events over the coming months.
