Email Taoiseach to show leadership at UN climate summit

Tomorrow marks the start of the 100 day countdown to the beginning of crucial global climate talks this December in Copenhagen. With climate change already devastating the lives of millions of vulnerable people in developing countries, these talks must avert a climate catastrophe by delivering a fair and safe global deal.

This global deal must be safe by reducing greenhouse gas emissions enough to avoid climate chaos and fair by ensuring that we support poor countries to adapt to climate change and pursue low carbon futures.

Next month, the Taoiseach Brian Cowen and other world leaders will attend a UN High Level event in New York to set the scene for the talks in Copenhagen.

Call on the Taoiseach to play his part to ensure that world leaders in New York commit to deliver a fair and safe climate deal in Copenhagen.
