What is a mass lobby?

A mass lobby is when lots of people meet with their TDs on the same day to have powerful conversations on issues they care about.

At 11am on Wednesday 3rd December 2025, hundreds of people from across Ireland will come to Dublin to meet with their TD to say: we want a cleaner, safer, fairer future that breaks away from fossil fuels.

Why it matters

It’s no secret that the fossil fuel industry wants to use its power to lock us into dirty, expensive, imported fossil fuels for decades to come. They want our politicians to put economic growth and corporate profits ahead of our health, safety, and shared future, despite the impacts of climate breakdown accelerating around the world - from droughts and wildfires to storms and floods, with the people who have done the least to cause this crisis being hit the hardest. We want a just transition towards a future where no one is left behind, and where women and disadvantaged communities, who have so far been excluded from the benefits of climate policies, are finally placed at the heart of change.

Our Government wants to build more gas terminals and pipelines, and to continue to facilitate  data centres to drive the profits and expansion plans of big tech, even though this means that the grid cannot accommodate new housing. 

We know the only thing politicians pay attention to more than big business is people power. That’s why we need to join together, stand up and speak out, demanding that our elected representatives deliver faster and fairer climate action: fast enough to do Ireland’s fair share internationally and fairly enough to make life better for people here and now.

You don’t need to be a campaigner, or to have met your TD before, or have even spoken about climate. This is an opportunity to come together to tell our TDs directly that we need a healthier, safer and fairer future for generations to come around the world.

This is a pivotal moment, with a new Climate Action Plan due by the end of the year, and radical, decisive measures needed to make political commitments a reality. We’re asking our TDs to use all available opportunities, and act with urgency to help us build a fairer, more resilient future for everybody by:

• Putting people power over polluter power - say no to fossil fuels and LNG
• Committing to fair and funded international climate action
• Ensuring warm, affordable, fossil fuel-free homes for all
• Prioritising clean energy for people, not data centres and big tech
• Ensuring thriving nature, sustainable food and a fair future for rural communities
• Enabling a just transition where no one is left behind

Together we are far more powerful than the fossil fuel industry. Together we will build an unstoppable global climate movement.
