Three Pledges For Climate Leadership

November 28 2025, 06:30pm

The National Climate Demonstration brought thousands of people onto the streets of Dublin, coming from all over the country to ensure that climate action is on the Governments agenda. People recognise the relationship between the high costs of energy, the cost of living, inadequate housing, social inequity and the climate crisis. The good thing is that all of these pressing issues can be addressed through a climate justice lens.

You may have seen our 6 Key Demands for Fast, Fair and Funded climate action in the lead up to COP30, where we outlined how housing, energy, fossil fuel phase out, fairness for workers and farmers in a just transition, and Ireland's role as a climate leader, can bring about the changes required to meet Ireland's national and international climate obligations while ensuring that big polluters are the focus of change.

Now TDs are being asked to take the next step and renew the commitment to delivering the Climate Action Plan, put justice and fairness at the centre of climate policy, and ensure a healthy environment and future for all.

At the Climate Mass Lobby day TDs have an opportunity to show real leadership. They'll get there by hearing your thoughts on meaningful climate  action. As your representative in the Dáil, it is their job to deliver what is best for people in Ireland now, and to not steal the futures of the next generations.

Meet your TD at the Climate Mass Lobby, and register here to get all the information you need for the day.
